Project Information
Umbó is a sustainable architecture studio that creates value for businesses and communities through projects that bring together technology, tradicional techniques and local materials. One of the main inspirations for their visuals was the cobogó, a regional constructive element commonly used to improve thermal confort and reduce the impact of direct sunlight. Along with other architectural elements, we explored the cobogó's shapes and properties, both in the two-dimensional and three-dimensional plane, to design a fun, versatile and culturally referenced identity. The name created plays with a local slang, in which the word "umbó" is an informal way of saying ''let's go", a friendly call to action.
